Different styles of bamboo flooring

When choosing a new bamboo floor, you will want to consider all of the different styles, so that you get the correct floor for you.  We have a wide range of bamboo flooring in many different colours, styles, finishes and profile types. You should choose a style of bamboo flooring that will complement your style of home and interior décor. Here are just some of different styles to help you to make your decision.

Parquet block or plank

This is a personal choice based on preference and the style of home it is going into.  The plank style flooring is traditional and timeless, whereas parquet block makes the flooring the centre piece of your room.  You can choose from different geometric patterns to lay your parquet block in, which can really transform your space. Which ever style of bamboo flooring you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Bamboo Parquet Block Colours

Tongue and groove or click fit

All parquet block flooring has a tongue and groove fitting system as it needs to be fixed down to the subfloor.  Most other types of bamboo flooring have an easy to use click fitting system.

Engineered or solid

There isn’t much difference between engineered and solid bamboo flooring.  Engineered flooring has base layers to give it stability, which is important for hardwood, but bamboo is already dimensionally stable.

Which colour?

We have a range of colours to choose from.  Why not order some free samples so that you can look at them in the comfort of your own home.  Our different colour options range from pale pebble grey, through to a dark chestnut brown.  Here are some of our most popular colours:

Which surface finish?

The surface finish determines how your flooring will feel, and how matt or glossy it will look.  Our main three surface finished are:

  • Distressed
  • Matt Lacquered
  • Satin-Matt Lacquered

Again, we would recommend coming to see the floor in out showroom or ordering some free samples, so that you can compare the differences.
