This structural method gives dimensional stability to the planks of flooring. Generally, the wear layer of bamboo flooring is approximately 4mm in thickness, and once the flooring has been installed it would be impossible to tell the difference between engineered bamboo flooring and solid bamboo flooring by sight alone. The appearance of the wear layer is your choice of bamboo flooring, for example, natural or carbonised strand woven bamboo.
