Floating a bamboo floor is probably the most common way to fit the flooring planks. A floating floor is a floor that has been laid on top of an underlay and is not fixed to the ground. This method of installation allows the floor to move naturally and gives a more cushioned feel under foot.

You must first lay out your underlay throughout the entire room. Next, use some flooring spacers to ensure you leave the correct size expansion gap around the edge of the room. Start to lay you bamboo flooring by clicking and locking each plank into place. Remember to stagger the planks to achieve your intended design.

How do I float a bamboo tongue and groove bamboo flooring

Like above, firstly lay out your underlay throughout the entire room. Next, use some flooring spacers to ensure you leave the correct size expansion gap around the edge of the room. Start to lay your bamboo flooring by gluing the tongue and groove joints together using a WPVA glue. The planks of flooring do not need to be glued to the underlay. Remember to stagger the planks to achieve your intended design.
