Generally speaking, bamboo flooring is cheaper than wood flooring. You will often find bamboo at a much more cost-effective price than wood and you may be wondering why. A good quality solid bamboo flooring with a strength comparable to Oak flooring can be found under £25 per m², whereas a good quality solid Oak floor is likely to cost over £40 per m². This is a huge difference, especially if you have a large area of floor space. You can of course, find engineered Oak flooring at a more reasonable price and some types of strand woven bamboo, which are extremely durable, can be more expensive.
