We have many different types of bamboo flooring for you to choose from.  Rustic and carbonised are just two options; here is a little bit more about them both.

What is carbonised bamboo flooring?

Carbonised is referring to the colour of the bamboo flooring.  To achieve this coffee brown colour, the strands of bamboo have been smoked (or carbonised).  This means that the bamboo is the same colour throughout the depth of the plank, unlike a colour stain that only marks the surface.

If you choose strand woven carbonised bamboo flooring, you will find it over twice as hard as Oak flooring, making it perfect for busy areas and even commercial properties.

What is rustic bamboo flooring?

Our rustic flooring is actually carbonised strand woven bamboo with black ‘rustic’ streaks added to the surface. The only difference is the appearance of the planks of flooring.  The rest of the properties of the planks of flooring are exactly the same.  Rustic bamboo has the same strength, durability and sustainability as carbonised bamboo.  They are both straight-forward to install with a simple to use click fitting system, and are both easy to keep clean and maintain.

The only different between the two, is the rustic streaks.
