Bamboo flooring is durable, hardwearing and versatile and can be used in most rooms throughout your home.  It is a great choice of flooring as you are getting a natural floor covering with added benefits of stability, strength, versatility and sustainability.  It can be installed quickly and easily over most types of subfloor (as long as they are properly prepared).  There are many different styles and colours of bamboo flooring available so you are sure to find something to match or complement the décor throughout you home.

Strand woven bamboo flooring is extremely durable.  It is actually over twice as hard as Oak flooring, making it an ideal choice for busy areas such as hallways and living spaces.  If you want to find out why strand woven flooring is so durable and stable, have a look at our article: What is Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring?

Can I use bamboo flooring with underfloor heating?

Yes, bamboo flooring can be used with underfloor heating.  Most types of our bamboo flooring are compatible and have been tested with underfloor heating systems.  Bamboo flooring actually makes the perfect match for underfloor heating as it is resilient enough to cope with the changes in temperature but also allows the heat to transfer through to the surface sufficiently.  Have a look at our different types of bamboo flooring for underfloor heating.

Can I use bamboo flooring on my staircase?

Yes, bamboo flooring can be used with our bamboo stair nosing profiles.  You will need to fix the flooring and stair nosing to the staircase using flexible flooring adhesive.  This is so that it does not become loose or unstable.

Where can I use bamboo flooring?

• Living spaces

• Dining rooms

• Kitchens

• Hallways

• Bedrooms

• Conservatries

• Home offices / studies

• Nurseries / Children’s rooms

• Staircases

The only areas the we cannot recommend that you use bamboo flooring in is any wet areas such as bathrooms and utility rooms.  Bamboo is fairly resilient to moisture but it is by no means waterproof.  If you are searching for a floor for a bathroom or kitchen, why not look at Luxury Vinyl Tiles which are 100% waterproof.
