For the Sika AcouBond System: Solid wood boards (tongued and grooved), 3-ply engineered wood as well as chipboards plywood and herringbone blocks can all be bonded, use with Sika Layer 5mm mats and a barrel gun
For Beaded Application: Solid wood boards, 3-ply engineered wood as well as chipboards can be bonded, use with barrel gun

Technical Spec
- Skinning/Laying time: 60 mins (+23°C/50% RH)
- 3.5 mm / 24h (+23°C / 50% r. h.) The floor may be walked on/sanded 12 hours to 24 hours after installation ( +23°C / 50% RH up to 1 mm adhesive thickness dependent on climatic conditions and adhesive layer thickness).
- The floor can be sanded after 12 hours (full surface bonding, +23°C / 50% RH, up to 1 mm adhesive thickness)
Preparation
- The substrate must be even, totally dry, clean, free from cracks, and physically sound.
- Concrete/Cement screed: Must be ground and thoroughly cleaned with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
- Anhydrite screed/Anhydrite flowable screed: Must be ground and thoroughly cleaned with an industrial vacuum cleaner shortly before bonding starts.
- Broadcast mastic asphalt: Must be primed with Sika Primer MB / SikaBond Rapid DPM. Please refer to the respective Product Data Sheet.
- Glazed ceramic and old ceramic tiles: Degrease or grind the tile surfaces and vacuum thoroughly.
- Wood/gypsum boards (e.g. chipboards, plywood): Glue/screw the boards to the substructure. They must be fixed to the substrate.
- SikaBond -52 Wood Floor can be used without priming on cementitious floors, anhydrite floors, chipboards, concrete and ceramic tiles.
- For broadcast mastic asphalt, cementitious floors with excessive moisture content, and for use over old adhesive residues or on weak substrates use Sika Primer MB / SikaBond Rapid DPM.
Cleaning
Cleaning: Acetone or ethanol will remove but hardened adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
Storage / Shelf life
12 months from the date of production if stored in undamaged, original sealed containers, in dry conditions and protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between +10°C and +25°C.
