Float Over Underlay

Floating a floor over an underlay means that the planks of flooring are attached together by the click fitting system, but they are not fixed directly down to the subfloor; instead they float over a layer of underlay.  There are various types of underlay including thermal barriers and sound reducing underlays. This method is also compatible with underfloor heating.

Tongue & Groove

Tongue and groove flooring is the traditional method of installing natural floors. Each plank of flooring has one long side and one short side with a protruding tongue and one long side and one short side with a rebated groove. The tongues and grooves fit together creating a snug and secure fit.

Click Fit

Most of our bamboo flooring has an easy to use click fitting system that has been specially designed to create a quick but effective fit, without the need for an adhesive.

2x Harder Than Oak

Bamboo is an extremely strong natural material. It actually has a higher fibre rating than wood, meaning it can withstand compression better than concrete.

Glue Down

By gluing your bamboo floor directly down to the subfloor you will create a full surface bond between the existing floor and your new bamboo floor.  You will need to use a flexible flooring adhesive to allow for natural movements with changes in temperature and humidity. Either solid or engineered bamboo flooring can be glued to the subfloor.

Residential Use

Flooring that is recommded to be used in residential properties as the top surface can only withstand regular household traffic. Perfect for bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms etc.

Commercial Use

Flooring that is recommended to be used in commercial properties as the top surface can withstand heavy traffic due to its durable strength. Perfect for areas prone to spills and moisture.

Underfloor Heating Use

Underfloor heating is becoming more and more popular and can offer a fantastic alternative to the traditional methods of heating a room. We have a range of both solid and engineered bamboo floors that have been fully tested and are approved to be used with underfloor heating. This means that the bamboo is stable enough to be able to react to the changes in temperature without becoming damaged (as long as you stick to the guidelines of the underfloor heating system that you have). The heat will be effectively transferred through your bamboo flooring, right to the surface, so that you can feel the pleasure and warmth as you walk on your floor.

Flat Finish

Offering a modern look, a flat finished flooring protects floors from the movement of furniture, toys, and walking and provides the feel of elegant bamboo underfoot.

Distressed Finish

Distressed wood floors are textured and can relate to a range of different techniques to make a floor look aged or more textured. This adds more character and replicates an old worn feel to each plank.

Brushed Finish
