What exactly is bamboo floor filler?
It is an acrylic based mastic that is used for sealing gaps near bamboo skirting boards when fitting a bamboo floor and skirting. The same filler can also be used for wooden floors and skirting. It is great because it is a flexible filler that allows the bamboo to move slightly with changes in the temperature and humidity. This is crucial, otherwise the bamboo may become damaged.
When would I need to use it?
When fitting a bamboo floor and skirting boards you may have slight gaps between the skirting and the wall, especially if your walls are not perfectly straight. The filler is the ideal product to seal these gaps, and it’s great because it matches the colour of your bamboo so will blend in well. It really helps to add the finishing touches to your room, and it will ensure your final installation looks even better.
