Bamboo flooring has three main construction types: horizontal, vertical and strand woven.  The different constructions give three different styles and appearances of bamboo flooring.

Horizontal bamboo

Horizontal bamboo flooring has a wide and visible grain pattern. You can easily notice the distinctive knots and characteristics of the bamboo plant throughout the flooring. It is created using thin strips of bamboo, which have been cut, dried and then glued together horizontally to form the plank.

Horizontal bamboo flooring is available in either natural or carbonised colours.

Vertical bamboo

Vertical bamboo flooring has a narrow and clean grain pattern. It is created using thin strips of bamboo, which have been cut, dried and then glued together vertically to form the plank.

Vertical bamboo flooring is available in either natural or carbonised colours.

Strand woven bamboo

Strand woven bamboo has a mixed and random grain pattern.  The bamboo fibres and strands have been compressed with a resin under extreme heat and pressure to for the plank.  This method of construction makes the flooring over twice as hard as Oak.

Strand woven bamboo is available in both plank style and parquet block.  There is also a wide colour range to choose from.
