Engineered bamboo flooring has a layer of strand woven bamboo on top of base layers of plywood. This gives the bamboo flooring stability. Any type of bamboo flooring is dimensionally stable but engineered bamboo means that the planks of flooring can be made wider than solid bamboo.
How is engineered bamboo flooring made?
It has a plywood base that runs perpendicular to the top layer of bamboo. This gives the planks of flooring additional stability. The surface of the flooring is made from strand woven bamboo. To create this strand woven layer, the bamboo has been shredded into strands and woven together to create a dense, robust material. Strand woven bamboo is harder than any wood flooring.
How do I fit engineered bamboo flooring?
Our engineered bamboo has a click fitting system, which makes it easy to install. You can either float it over an underlay or glue it down to the subfloor. The click fitting system allows you to simply click and lock the planks together to create a tight and secure fit.
