Lounge and hallway modernised with solid carbonised bamboo flooring

 Carbonised bamboo flooring in a beautiful living area[/caption] Chris and his wife had been looking for a replacement for their downstairs carpet and liked the idea of a solid natural floor.  After researching different options they decided that bamboo was the perfect choice for them. 

It has a “hard wearing surface that is easy to keep clean and brings a modern look to the house. Bamboo is also fast growing and we felt it had environmental benefits. Plus it looks Beautiful!”

After ordering a few different samples of bamboo flooring, they decided to choose Solid Carbonised Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring.  Strand woven bamboo flooring is ideal for busy areas like hallways and living spaces; it is hard wearing and extremely easy to clean.  The carbonised colour of this flooring is made when the bamboo is smoked, giving a rich brown coffee colour.  We love the way that it complements the natural colour tones of the walls and furniture in this lounge area. Not only did Chris replace his lounge carpet, but he also used the same bamboo flooring in his hallway to give continuity between the two rooms.

The rich brown colour helps to give the rooms a warm and cozy feel.  Carbonised bamboo flooring is created when the raw bamboo is smoked, which gives this amazing coffee colour.  To add the finishing touches to the rooms, Chris and his wife used matching bamboo skirting and beading.

“There was an instant transformation of the space since installing the new floor. My wife and I installed the flooring, having little experience in such trades, so it is fair to say the flooring is simple to install. It feels solid under the feet and feels like it will last. We purposely went for your products because of the hardness, as we were originally concerned our pets (cats and rabbits) would scratch the surface with their claws. We’ve had no such problem to date. The flooring is also a breeze to clean with a broom and appropriate cleaning products, so no more endless vacuuming of the original carpet.
