Natural Bamboo Flooring

Natural bamboo flooring is the golden and blonde tones of bamboo.  It can help to brighten up any room and depending on the type of bamboo flooring you choose; it will have different grain patterns.

What is natural bamboo flooring?

It is made from natural bamboo without any colour stain added.  When you look at a bamboo plant, it has a hard-green husk on the outside.  The inner golden bamboo is stripped away from this, dried out and made into flooring.  There are four main types of natural bamboo flooring for you to choose from:

  • Horizontal – the bamboo grain is wide, and the characteristic knots are visible
Horizontal Bamboo
  • Vertical – the grain pattern is narrow and less evident
Vertical Bamboo
  • Strand Woven – the bamboo has been compressed together to make a durable flooring that it over twice as hard as Oak
Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring
  • Parquet Block – using strand woven bamboo in shorter blocks which enable you to create geometric patterns
