Floor Beading

Bamboo floor beading, otherwise known as scotia or quarter round, allows you to complete your bamboo flooring installation whilst keeping your existing skirting boards. An expansion gap of at least 10mm must be left around the perimeter of the room between the bamboo flooring and skirting, the floor beading then sits over this gap and is glued to the existing skirting board.

Why do I need bamboo beading?

Bamboo beading is perfect if you want to keep your existing skirting board.  The beading sits on top of the bamboo floor, against the skirting board.  We have a range of bamboo beading to match and complement your choice of bamboo flooring.

Alternatively, if you want to replace your existing skirting board then please see our Bamboo Skirting range.

If you would like to know more about how to fit your bamboo flooring with an expansion gap, please read our article, Does bamboo flooring need an expansion gap?
