Bamboo flooring is available in two main plank types: the single plank style flooring or a parquet block flooring. The single plank bamboo is the more well-known and popular type of flooring.  It can be found in either solid or engineered format, in a variety of styles, colours, strengths and grain patterns.  You will also have the choice of either a tongue and groove fitting profile, or the easy to use click fitting system and all types bamboo plank flooring can be floated or fixed into position. Parquet block bamboo flooring is a smaller block of flooring, rather than a long plank. They are a fixed size block so that geometric patterns, such as herringbone or basket weave, can be created. All parquet block bamboo flooring needs to be glued down to the subfloor using flexible flooring adhesive.

Which flooring style should I choose?

When choosing a style of flooring for you property, it is really down to personal preference and the aesthetics that you want to achieve.  You will need to think about whether you want the traditional plank style flooring that can offer elegance and a timeless beauty, or do you want a standout parquet block floor that exudes character and charm?

The type of bamboo flooring that you choose really only determines the size of the flooring plank or block so you will need to think about what pattern or style of flooring you want to achieve.
